A snake has become the enemy of the life of Vikas Dubey (24), the elder son of Surendra Dwivedi, a resident of Saunra village of Malwan police station. The snake has bitten the young man seven times in 40 days. The young man and his family are in panic due to the continuous snake bites. On Saturday, the family brought the young man directly from Chitrakoot to Balaji Sarkar’s shelter.
Young man Vikas Dubey was bitten by a snake on his leg for the first time on June 2 at 9 pm. His family members admitted him to Ramsanehi Nursing Home. After this, for the second time on the night of June 10, while he was lying on the bed, a snake bit him in his hanging hand. In this way, till now the snake has bitten four times in the hand and thrice in the leg. The last time he was bitten by a snake was on June 11 at 9 pm. Meanwhile, on Saturday, there was a gathering of electronic media from Lucknow and Delhi in the hospital throughout the day, but Dr. Jawahar Lal refused to speak in front of the camera without the permission of the nursing home operator.
Two teeth marks are formed due to the bite of a poisonous snake. The bitten area turns black within no time. Foam starts oozing out of the mouth. The eyes roll down. On getting such symptoms, ASV vaccine is given to the patient as per the need. He has been treating 25 to 30 snake bite patients in a year for the last 30 years. Maximum 5 percent of his patients die. The youth from Saunra had all the symptoms of a poisonous snake bite. He has been given anti-snake vaccine every time. If vaccine is given to anyone who has not been bitten by a poisonous snake, one or the other organ of the person becomes useless.– Dr. Jawahar Lal, Senior Physician, Ramsanehi Nursing Home GT Road
